One of these days

My normal day begins at 6:30 from Mondays to Fridays, and around 9 at weekends. The first great thing in the morning is breakfast (my favourite meal): orange juice, giant size café con leche, some toast and a piece of cake, yes, all of that, that's why I need to get up that early. After some battles about which jumper I like/don't like at all starred by my daughters, I get into my car and drive my way to the school where I work, about 25 minutes from home. Let's say it is Wednesday, then it means that I teach a 1º Bachillerato class first, then I am in a Citizenship class supporting my colleague (bilingual programme) and helping students with the language they need for their comics about Human Rights. Coffee break is next and after some laughs and catching up, we go back to class: Technology, then Maths (both are part of the bilingual programme as well) and English with a 2nd ESO group in my last period. Last Wednesday was supposed to be a great peer teaching day. My Technology colleague had prepared an activity to introduce students different types of bridges, the example was one in Wales, and my part was, apart from helping students with language and designing the listening activities, to deal with the culture part: maps of Wales, England and Ireland, differences between England and the UK, etc,etc............massive failure in the school wi-fi, no internet, no You Tube videos, no Google maps: time for Plan B, just made up on the spot............ Thanks God today is Friday!!! Start to chill out, click HERE.
